Two Projects Featured by HOOF in the 2026 Shaw Contract Design Awards Competition

We are very happy to announce that two projects that we had the pleasure of participating in have been submitted to this year’s Shaw Contract Design Awards 2026 – an international competition that recognizes the best projects featuring the brand’s carpeting.

The first of the submitted projects is the headquarters of Kajima Poland – a general contractor for building construction. The project was developed by the Design Department at Kajima Poland, led by Hanna Osińska. The office was designed as a space that combines Japanese heritage with a modern approach to workplace design. The interior concept is based on a minimalist aesthetic, natural materials, and solutions that support employee well-being. One of the key elements of the design is Shaw Contract carpet, which unifies the space both aesthetically and functionally. Nature – inspired patterns and subtle textures bring warmth and a sense of harmony to the interior. The carefully selected color palette emphasizes the office’s calm character and delineates individual work zones. The carpets significantly improve the interior’s acoustics, reducing noise and enhancing comfort in daily use. Their properties also support the creation of an environment friendly to neurodiverse individuals. The choice of carpeting from this manufacturer was a conscious decision also rooted in the principles of sustainable design. The result of the work by Kajima Poland’s designers is a modern office that harmoniously combines design, functionality, and environmental responsibility.

The second project participating in the competition is the new office of a maritime shipping company designed by architect Agnieszka Andrulewicz from the Wrocław-based studio Warsztat Projektowy. In this project, Shaw Contract flooring plays a unique role – its intense blue color and distinctive pattern evoke ocean waves and echo the client’s visual identity. A clever and creative approach to the theme allowed the flooring to highlight the industry in which the company operates, thereby reinforcing the cohesion of the overall concept. This solution has made the floor one of the elements that define the character of the interior. This project is an excellent example of how a carefully selected finishing material can tell a brand’s story and become an integral part of the design.

We are delighted to have been able to participate in both projects and to support their designers in selecting the right furniture and Shaw Contract carpets. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for these projects and wish them the best of luck in this year’s competition!
